🚨 Pirates Offseason Reaction: Kazuma Okamoto to Blue Jays | What’s Next for Pittsburgh? 🚨 On the newest episode of Bucco Bantr, Scott and Adam break down the breaking news of Kazuma Okamoto signing with the Toronto Blue Jays and what it means for the Pittsburgh Pirates offseason. While Okamoto looked like a strong fit in Pittsburgh, we explain why this move is NOT a reason for Pirates fans to lose faith in the front office or the direction of the team.
đź’Ą Pirates Offseason Pivot Options
With Okamoto off the board, we discuss realistic pivots — including Eugenio Suárez, a familiar face in the NL Central who could bring much-needed power and veteran presence to the Pirates lineup. Can Suárez be the bat that helps push this team over the top in 2025?
🤔 Yoán Moncada to Pittsburgh?
Pirates fans have mixed feelings about Yoán Moncada, but Scott and Adam explain why a Moncada / Jared Triolo platoon at third base might actually be a smart, low-risk move that improves depth, flexibility, and upside.
🔄 Trade Market Targets: Alec Bohm or Josh Jung?
We then shift to the trade market and ask the big question:
👉 Could the Pirates trade for Alec Bohm or Josh Jung to solidify 3B? While the trade packages would look very different, we break down what it might realistically take to land either player and whether the Pirates should make that kind of move right now.
