Originally drafted by the Atlanta Braves in 2024, Dumitru was acquired by Pittsburgh in 2025 in the trade that sent RHP Hunter Stratton to Atlanta. Now, he’s carving out his path in the Pirates farm system — and the story behind it is even better.
From being lightly recruited out of high school in Oregon, to taking the junior college route, to committing to New Mexico State University, Titus bet on himself every step of the way. 💪 He opens up about the adjustments he’s made in pro ball, the mindset required to keep climbing, and how the Pirates player development system has helped elevate his game.
